I've been playing around with bubblewrap ideas for hair since I saw photos of Kaytea's bubblewrap hair by Pepi´s for the first time. The big problem for me has been that I've never been able to find coloured bubblewrap here in Sweden so I solved this problem by covering transparent bubblewrap in some really expensive neon pink tape from a specialist store. This gave me big, bulky, plastic looking dreads that were surprisingly light.
This is how: I started by braiding my hair with long pieces of Rexlace, then I wrapped the braids with long strips of bubblewrap and fastened these with electrical tape and finally I covered the bubblewrap with neon-pink tape. Simple but time consuming and not so easy to do by myself, especially around the back.
